Armor
In gameBark for the body, grass beneath. The land will dress those who ask it.
How armor is worn, what it turns aside, and how it wears.
Armor will not save you from every blow, but it takes the edge off many. Dress the traveler in the earthen set and turn him in 3D at Arms and Armor.
Wearing armor
Open Self (Alt + I) and put each piece in its place: head, shoulders, body, arms, hands, belt, legs and feet. Paired pieces are worn one to a side.
What armor does
- Every blow lands somewhere on you, and only the piece covering that place protects you.
- A piece turns aside part of the blow. No armor stops a blow completely.
- Armor helps against bites and blows, falls, burns, and the slip of a tired hand.
- A wound opens only from what gets through your armor. See Injury and Wounds.
Wear
- Every blow wears the piece it lands on.
- A piece holds well at first, then fails quickly as it nears the end.
- Earthen armor soaks through when you swim, and wears a little each time. It takes hours to dry.
- Earthen armor burns. Keep it out of the fire.
